Coherent Flow Acupuncture is a clinical reference and documentation tool for licensed practitioners. By continuing, you confirm you hold any license or certification required in your jurisdiction to provide the care you deliver, and that you'll use this tool within the scope of your training.
Patient data stays on your device. Intake data and treatment notes are stored locally, not on our servers. If you use an AI feature, only the specific text of that request is sent to generate a response — avoid including more patient-identifying detail than the task needs. You remain responsible for your own compliance with HIPAA or similar laws.
AI-generated content is a drafting aid, not clinical judgment. Suggested protocols, parsed symptoms, and generated narrative must be independently reviewed by you before being relied on. The built-in safety layer (e.g. pregnancy flags) is an aid, not a guarantee — it doesn't replace your own clinical safety checks.
The Service is provided as-is, without warranty, and our liability is limited as described in the full Terms. You agree to the full Terms of Use by continuing.
Treatment restores the natural movement of Qi through structured relationships rather than forceful intervention.
This system does not attempt to push, tonify, or sedate Qi through technique. When relationships between channels, phases, and polarity are corrected, Qi reorganizes itself naturally.
Select the primary channel to regulate.
Choose a sequence based on the presenting pattern.
Set the protocol depth, then configure mirror and axis options.
An interactive three-dimensional map of the channel system: the twelve primary channels and all 361 points, the internal pathways to the organs, the divergent, sinew, and luo vessels, the eight extraordinary vessels, the six-division depth analysis, and the fascial-plane substrate. Drag to rotate, pinch or scroll to zoom. This is a teaching and exploration view — point positions follow the channel curve and are schematic, not WHO-standard needle locations.
Point reference — all 361 channel points with standardised locations, classical categories, and, where entered, actions and classical indications. Search by code, name, characters, category, location or indication. Cautions are shown first on every card. Reference only; confirm against a primary source before needling.
Single-herb reference — 272 herbs with channels entered, temperature, actions, key patterns, combinations, and safety. Search by pinyin, English, characters, category, or channel. Cautions and drug interactions are shown first. This is a reference layer; it is not a prescription, and formula-level safety always takes precedence.
Formula reference. Names are the clean index; formulas with a full monograph show category, indications, actions, tongue/pulse, composition with doses, and contraindications (shown first). Green ingredients open the herb card. Monographs are entered chapter by chapter from the course notes; the rest are name-indexed for now. Reference only, not a prescription.
Common formulas grouped by classical lineage — a base formula and the modifications built from it. Tap any name to open its monograph above. Reference only.
This system works in three phases: gather clinical information, make your selections, then review the generated treatment. Needle order determines treatment direction — not manipulation technique.
This system does not attempt to push, tonify, or sedate Qi through technique. It restores the inherent order of movement within the body. When relationships between channels, phases, and polarity are corrected, Qi reorganizes itself naturally.

Each phase is a convergent expression of two forces — the phase that generates it and the phase that controls it.
The protocol expresses both arms fully and symmetrically. The Mother Arm enters through the generative cycle. The Control Arm regulates through the child rather than directly suppressing the target — this is a gentler, more indirect form of governance. Both arms move same-polarity first, then cross-polarity, creating a structurally parallel four-point circuit.
Mother is Earth, Controller is Fire, Child is Water. Step 1: SP3 (Earth horary on SP). Step 2: LI11 (Earth point on LI, Lung's pair). Step 3: KID2 (Fire point on KID, Water yin). Step 4: BL60 (Fire point on BL, KID's pair). Every yin/yang pair shares the same four points with Steps 3 and 4 swapped.
Left anchors and nourishes. Right moves and regulates.
The body expresses polarity spatially. The left side reflects Yin, Blood, and root. The right side reflects Yang, Qi, and movement. By distributing points across sides, the system directs flow without requiring strong needling techniques.
Needle order determines direction of Qi.
Sheng builds flow from root to expression. Xie releases from surface back to source. He alternates to harmonize. Sequence replaces traditional tonification and sedation techniques by directing movement through order instead of force.
Opens the Mother Arm first (Steps 1→2, Left/root), then completes the Control Arm (Steps 3→4, Right/movement). Builds generative force before regulating. Used when the system needs nourishment or restoration of forward momentum.
Releases the Control Arm first (Steps 4→3, Right), then resolves the Mother Arm back to source (Steps 2→1, Left). Opens pressure before restoring generation. Used when accumulation needs to be released before the circuit can move again.
Alternates between Mother and Control arms (Step1·L → Step4·R → Step2·L → Step3·R), holding both axes simultaneously in balanced regulation. Used for mixed or unclear presentations.
Each channel corresponds to a physiological layer.
Depth is determined by the Six Channel system. Taiyang engages the surface, Yangming the muscle, Shaoyang the pivot, Taiyin the interior, Shaoyin the root, and Jueyin the deep dynamic layer. Treatment engages multiple layers simultaneously through point selection.
The depth plane addressed from the other side — without touching the target channel.
The four-point circuit works entirely through mother, child, and controller channels — it never needles the target channel itself. The depth layer honors that same principle. Rather than using the target's own Luo or Yuan, it enters the Six Level plane through the partner channel and the partner's yin/yang pair.
Six Level partner = SP. Luo of SP = SP4 (Gongsun — enters Taiyin from the partner, bridges into Stomach via Chong Mai). Yuan of SP's yin/yang pair (ST) = ST42 (grounds the Yangming yang expression of the same depth plane). Neither point is on the Lung channel.
The target channel is already being addressed through four points of elemental force. The depth layer isn't adding more force — it's addressing the Six Level field as a whole, from the other side, providing lateral leverage. The Luo connects. The Yuan grounds. Together they complete the depth resonance without crowding the primary circuit.
Central points distribute Qi vertically.
The Ren and Du channels regulate vertical integration of Qi through upper, middle, and lower regions. These points help unify the treatment across the whole system.
Auto mode uses the channel's default burner. Override when presenting signs clearly indicate a different jiao is the primary focus.
